The ALGAE Framework is an open and extensible RPG framework, built in C# / Monogame, designed to empower developers and creators to build 2D role-playing games. Its philosophy is centered on adaptability, clean architecture, and a community-driven approach. It stands as a core pillar of our long-term strategy, alongside the 2222 Saga.
The ALGAE Framework is designed to help developers build better RPGs, faster. It provides a stable foundation with reusable components, along with ready-made systems for gameplay, storytelling, and asset management. To make onboarding easier, it includes demo games and micro-modules that serve as clean, documented examples developers can learn from or expand upon. Everything comes together in a complete development kit of tools, templates, and documentation, enabling creators to design, test, and scale their projects with confidence. The framework is currently in active development, with new features and examples being added step by step.
